It’s hard to believe 2020 is almost over. What a year it’s been: working from home, dealing with travel restrictions, and adapting to lives dominated by video.
At Notified, we’re summing up this year in two words: innovation and inspiration.
- We embraced challenges and continued to deliver platform enhancements for clients.
- We hosted terrific webinars to showcase the necessity of data-driven communications.
- Our new e-book on the intersection of PR and marketing was our most downloaded asset of the year.
But that’s not all. Here are more highlights from the year that was.
GlobeNewswire + Notified Integration
One of the most meaningful integrations we delivered to clients this year is GlobeNewswire press release distribution inside the Notified platform.
GlobeNewswire is one of the world’s largest and most trusted news distribution networks, and with easy access from the Notified platform, you can publish your news to a wider and more specialized audience, in addition to your media contacts.
Why include GlobeNewswire distribution as part of your PR program? Because press releases can boost your brand authenticity, increase opportunities for earned media coverage, and improve your SEO.
Media Database Expansion
We significantly enhanced our database by adding more than 500,000 global media contacts into Notified. You now have a fully searchable database at your fingertips alongside the powerful AI-driven capabilities of Connect.
Our database is managed and curated by an in-house team of researchers. We know accuracy and attention to detail are important to you. In addition to adding these new contacts, we also improved filter options so that you can more easily locate the media most valuable to your efforts.
Media research and outreach are critical parts of your PR program, so we’ll continue to enhance the capabilities and intelligence of our media database to help you make relevant connections and increase earned media coverage.
E-Book: The Evolving PR and Marketing Partnership
What can PR learn from marketing? Between these two, who is better at demonstrating value to the C-suite?
We set out to find the answers.
Created in partnership with PRWeek, our e-book, The Evolving PR and Marketing Partnership: Benefits of Self-Reflection, challenged PR pros in the U.S. and Europe to compare themselves to their marketing counterparts by taking an honest look in the mirror.
Our survey respondents shared a lot of interesting answers with us, as you’ll see in this e-book. Download it for free!
Webinar: Getting the Most of Your PR Data in 2021
As part of AMEC Measurement Month, we hosted the webinar, From Measurement Dashboards to Insights: Getting the Most of Your PR Data in 2021.
There’s never been more pressure for PR to be accountable and measurable – being metrics-minded isn’t an option; it’s a requirement. How can you set yourself up for success in 2021? If dashboards, reporting, and KPI tracking are new to you, where do you begin?
Webinar: How the PR/Marketing Partnership Should Evolve in 2021
We partnered with PRWeek to host the first-ever PR and marketing “anti-debate.” In the spirit of election season, marketing and PR leaders from Southwest Airlines, Levi Strauss and Co. and CAULIPOWER came to the virtual stage to discuss where they excel but also how they can learn from one another and improve.

AMEC Award Winners
We were proud winners in two categories during AMEC Awards 2020, sharing the accolades with our incredible partners at VisitBritain and Commetric.
We took home Best Multi-Market Reporting (Silver) for VisitBritain’s multi-market measurement and evaluation program, and Step Change Award for the Best Improvement of a Measurement Journey (Bronze) for VisitBritain’s multi-market measurement and evaluation program.
Business Insider’s List of PR Software Companies
We were recently included in Business Insider’s list of 27 software companies serving the public relations industry.
The full article is available only to subscribers, but here’s what they had to say:
Telecommunications company Intrado took on global players like Meltwater and Cision in 2019 by launching its own PR software offering, Notified.
Intrado launched Notified in North America in April 2019, merging that company’s media monitoring and measurement services with some software it acquired from Nasdaq the year before like press release distributor GlobeNewswire.
With that combination, Intrado billed Notified as an all-in-one platform where PR pros can distribute press releases and find journalists’ contact information.
There’s no industry more exciting and more ready for disruption than the PR tech industry. Every day, we learn so much from our clients about what it takes to be successful, and we’re excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
See you in 2021!
